Being a part of the first Jesus Lives Bible Study was a great encouragement to me. To see Shirley's growth through the 10 parts inspired my own growth. Since that time, God has shown me a variety of ways that He wants to use me in His service. This Bible study got it all rolling in my life, and I thank Shirley and all her staff who were a part of the creation of this study. Anyone who is looking for a challenging guide to God's direction in their life will find it in the Jesus Lives study.

I was so excited about the Jesus Lives Bible Study and was blessed to be a part of this amazing study. God has poured into Shirley His word and He revealed His heart for His daughters through her. The Jesus Lives Bible Study was life changing for me and I can't wait to go through it again! This Bible Study will take you deeper with God by diving into His word and pressing you into a more intimate relationship with Him. From the very first week through the last I experienced a stirring and a hunger to know Him more. Shirley teaches with the authority of the Holy Spirit and brings to life the freedom and the healing we have in Jesus Christ. No matter if you are a new believer or you have walked with Him for years this Bible Study is a must for every woman. It will change your life!

First of all your study was just wonderful. You were alive and contagious with your teaching. I am sorry that I had to miss some of the teaching sessions.

•Jesus Lives refreshed the reasons why and how Jesus came to be my promised Messiah

•Reminded me to be hungry for God

•Early in the study a verse brought a big smile to my face because it has been important to me in the past, “Whether you turn to the right or the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is way, walk in it.’ ” Isaiah 30:21.

•Shirley, I felt that you outlined “The Way” for us so that we could better understand and grow a deeper love, a love, a closeness, and a longing for our Savior.

•trying to keep the close fellowship with God was so hard for me at times as I was trying to deal with all that was happening with my dad. I was trying not to question God but constantly looking for the miracles of healing. If I did not have your Bible study to try and focus on I feel that I would have slipped more than a little. So I see how the timing for Jesus Lives was right for me.

•Thank God for how He patiently restores us and directs us to where we need to be. I needed to be reminded to release to God.

•I found emptiness being filled or satisfied as I worked on the study while sitting with my dad.

•Reminded me to combat worry with Scripture

•Reminded me to serve Him when He calls me

•For me, it was all about, Jesus I want to: Know You, Obey You, See You, Speak with You, Believe You, Worship You

•Thank you, Shirley, for bring all this to us and for us!!

Love Ya,

PHYLLIS

Through Shirley's teaching, wholly supported by Biblical scripture, I've gained a refreshed excitement about my spiritual walk with my Savior, Jesus Christ. Shirley's enthusiasm was infectious, apparent that she has an immense love for her Jesus and wants to draw others closer to Him. I would like to thank Shirley for her faithfulness in fulfilling this study and encourage everyone to enjoy the journey of Jesus Lives!!!

I can’t tell you how exciting it was to be part of my friend Shirley Mitchell’s first video taping lesson for her Bible study. Here is a person from our own little city who works as a project engineer at Lexmark in a full-time demanding position with a husband and three daughters who has managed to write an entire 10-week Bible study in her “free” time. During her period of writing this published study, she has continued to lead weekly Bible studies at her church, her workplace during lunch, and even a 3rd one at a friend’s home. The Bible study Jesus Lives Ask Me How I Know is very similar to a Beth Moore study with 5 days of homework jumping around all over the Scriptures (usually 4 – 5 pages per day) and an hour long lesson once a week. I love her great examples and humorous multiple choice questions. Although the intended audience is women, the lessons would be valuable for everyone. It’s just so exciting to see God’s work through someone I actually know in such a big way.

What encouragement it is to our own faith to watch another sister get of the boat and "walk on water". Jesus called out to Shirley. Her love and passion for Him is so immense, she just couldn't stand to "stay in the boat"! She jumped out into the "impossible" and He has shown Himself faithful to meet her and take her for a walk on the water. I've watched as there have been times when the water has seemed overwhelming, but He has kept her going. He is her strength & sustenance. He has come through time and time again to meet her biggest and smallest needs. If you knew her schedule, you would know that just the fact that she was able to finish writing the study is a miracle in itself and He has done so much more past that already. He has proved Himself over and over again as He has met every need to accomplish the work He has planted in Shirley's heart. May we applaude Him loudly with praise and watch in anticipation of what He does next! Do not fool yourself by thinking "Jesus Lives" is just merely words on a page or video tape. The bible study exists because Jesus truly is alive and amazingly active in the lives of His people who choose to not merely listen to the Word, but also do what it says (James 1:22-25). May we all dare to live according to that wise instruction in the book of James, so that we may discover for ourselves the abundant, free life that we are created to live.

“Jesus Lives has been a word in due season for me. I felt that I was meant to do this study at this time. I appreciate Shirley letting God use her to produce this study. I have had specific life applications from our discussion sessions. It gets below the surface so we question our beliefs and our understanding. The message is so effective because of Shirley’s passion.”
Cindy – Frankfort, KY
“The pyramid at the very beginning of the study was a clear image to me of where I am and where I need to be. I have been on the same step of the pyramid for way too long. It’s time to step up! One truth that I will apply in my life is not to be a boat squatter. In faith, I need to step out of the boat to do what God is asking me to do, even if it doesn’t make sense to me or I don’t yet see how it’s going to work.” Hannah

“One of the homework lessons reminded me that when we have doubts, it is ok to bring them to God. He knows our thoughts and desires our honesty to be able to confirm the truth in our lives. The Holy Spirit also convicted me about my schedule. Some of the reading for the homework talked about how Jesus did not squeeze people into His schedule of preaching and healing. The people were His schedule. Touching individual lives is important, not achievements.
Another important distinction for me was about letting go of my past through digging deeper into the story of the Samaritan woman at the well. In the case of lost or squandered dignity through bad choices, she lost the knowledge that she was worth something. But when her sin was exposed to the Son of God, she felt freedom not judgment. Somewhere along the way, I also lost the knowledge that I was worth something. To experience the healing and freedom that my Savior died to give me, I must be willing to allow Him to expose my sin.” Nicole
"Jesus Lives" has truly been a blessing to me as it has caused me to look into my heart, "as the wellspring of life", and make some necessary changes. Shirley takes you on a marvelous journey into the life of Christ and then leads you to apply His ways to your life. Thanks Shirley!

This is the most complete study of the Word in which I have participated. This is truly an anointed study. It seems we have truly walked with Jesus. Phyllis N.

Thank you so much for being obedient to God and writing this study. It has been so special to learn about the Jewish culture - makes everything that Jesus did and was and is so much more sweet! It has made me fall more in love with Him! Linda B.

I am slowly working my way through Jesus Lives. It is my second in-depth, long-term study. I thought I knew all I needed to know about the Bible and was rarely moved, challenged, or surprised by devotions and teachings. Then I was introduced to studies like this one. I feel like a kid again, just soaking up all the connections, truths, and teachings.
