Thailand Missions:  Update from the Kennedy's
By Shirley Mitchell

“But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame and the blind, and you will be blessed...”

We were truly blessed by joining together with several other ministries at a local home for the disabled to bring the Truth that is Jesus Christ and host a banquet for them. Currently we are seeking the Lordʼs will in meeting the needs of those precious people in a more tangible way.
Last year the Lord gave us an affordable place to call home that is perfect for our family and has proven to be a blessing to others as well. This summer we hosted families and traveling individuals in our guest rooms, had a 4th of July party with other Americans, several pool parties, and introduced a local Thai pastor and his family to a good ole fashioned American BBQ.
In August, we hosted a small volunteer team from Park Victoria Baptist Church in Milpitas, California. They were able to stay at our home and work with us throughout the city of Pattaya. Ministry opportunities included The Crossing (skateboard youth ministry), The Bridge Childrenʼs Center, Jail Ministry, Hand to Hand(daycare/preschool for the poor), Light for Asia (Bible distribution to tourists), prayerwalking, and Pattaya House of Prayer. It was an awesome time of getting to know each other and serving together.
These past few months weʼve met some incredible people that live and serve onboard the Logos Hope Ship, a floating book fair that shares the love of Christ and ministers to those in need at each port. Unfortunately the ship itself has been delayed and will not actually be coming to Thailand, as originally planned, until 2013. We are anxiously awaiting its arrival next year so that we can reconnect with our new friends.

Michelle, Rayanne and JC had a short summer and are now in full swing of the 2012-2013 homeschool year at Kennedy Academy and Kevin is plugging away at his language classes and keeping busy being His hands and feet. If youʼd like to come and see what we do, meet others that live and work here, and just experience what ministry is like for us, please contact us so that we can pray with you.
